The actual mystery of the rabbits for 2007 started in the last week of November when in the run-up to the Advent Calendar on http://x-entertainment.com the box for number 23 was shaded in. This was an open link within the calendar to the website http://www.x-entertainment.com/BatRib/.

The BatRib website provided a series of challenges to find a way through to further hints at the mystery of this years Advent Calendar. A list of these clues can be found in this document.

During the course of these challenges, we were introduced to the character Hssxxlllo Ussall who has been in contact through email and text on websites, guiding us through the mysteries. 

We discovered a habit from the Rabbits to use Anagrams and other forms of hidden meanings. A list of plausible meanings can be found in this document.

A Box 23 thread was opened on the X-Entertainment site - http://x-entertainment.com/updates/2007/11/27/box-23-discussion-thread/ - and the first series of clues was mostly resolved. A second Box 23 thread was opened after the thread got too long - http://x-entertainment.com/updates/2007/12/02/box-23-discussion-thread-part-ii/ - and the plot thickens.

Before the Advent Calendar went live, we got our hint at a new site http://www.dinosaurdracula.com/ which seemed to be where the action was going to take place. This was later confirmed as the website http://dinosaurdracula.com/thing/ was referenced in the Advent Calendar, bringing in more investigators. 

Although at the time of writing there is over 800 comments on the threads, it is suggested that new Advent-urers look over the past details to see how deep this goes.

NerdHerRig is an anagram of Red Herring, as pointed out by Drummer Jay.

A song, a song appears in the song "Do You Hear What I Hear" (see Part 06 for further)

"Our Muse has Burns", Dohopoki and Guise pointed out on  that Santa was smoked in was box number 23 on the 2006 calendar (see http://www.x-entertainment.com/adventcalendar/2006/december23/ for pictures and http://www.x-entertainment.com/adventcalendar/2006/december25/ for cliffhanger where rabbits carried him off?).

Amalthea is a moon of Jupiter, and as dohopoki points out, Matt had a bunny named Jupiter. Amalthea was also a greek fertility goddess http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amalthea_%28mythology%29
